Hey bloggers! This is your friendly neighborhood N.A.B.B tuning once more! Today, I have another subject on which I would like to comment on. With the new release of the block buster video game “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” I have decided that is time that somebody state the negative effects violent video games are having on society as a whole.
Lately, the mode in the video game empire is that of Modern Warfare, where the objective of every game is to kill as many people on the enemy team as possible. Although I personally love to play these video games, I do believe that it is important that to recognize the negative effect these video games are having on everybody. As most parents sit at home, criticizing the insecurity in the modern world, kids are almost constantly killing terrorist on a virtual. Although it may seem ridiculous, the sub conscious mind is unconsciously being trained to kill mercilessly while playing these video games. Think about it, do people ever stop and wonder about what will happen to the family of the soldier they just killed in the game? No, I didn’t think so. That is why it is ironic to moan about the insecurity levels raising in the world, while our future generation spends long hours shooting other human beings.
I am not saying that violent video games should be banned. In fact, I quite enjoy playing these video games myself. However, I do believe that the International community should stop whining about insecurity levels rising, when ten year old kids are killing virtual people for fun. Think about it.
